Plot/Synopsis:
A modern advanced film about sexual education an behaviour based on the clinical research made by famous American and Swedish doctors. The film centres around a panel; Inge and Sten Hegeler, Maj-Brith Bergstroem-Walan and Sture Cullhed, all well known, reputable experts, who have devoted their scientific studies to the various fields of sexual life. The film deals with all kinds of problems connected with the sexual relationship of people. Whilst every question is discussed by the panel., the film illustrates; the difference between male and female sexual organs and their functions, positions, and authentic coition whereby a split screen system is used enabling us to see the various reactions in different parts of the body. In connection with this as well as in other parts of the film, diagrams and animations are used to simplify the understanding of the complicated reactions which occur when a person is under sexual stimulus…
This is a real curiosity from the vaults, a late 60s Swedish sex education film which became an enormous box office hit across Europe and even, when it was finally released uncut with an X certificate, in the UK in 1973 (it was initially refused a certificate); this is historically interesting, as The Language of Love (as it was titled in English speaking markets) features some sections of actual hardcore footage, with close ups of fingers masturbating vaginas and a penis penetrating one. The film is apparently meant as a serious attempt to allay people’s fears and misconceptions about sex & improve the sex lives of heterosexual couples, but undoubtedly the enormous box office success of the film was due to the prurient interest of the public.

Plot/Synopsis:
Sara is in her early 20s and lives in Malmo, in the south of Sweden. Her father is dead, and Sara and her mother have been forced to sell the house where they’ve always lived, with daughter reluctantly agreeing to put her confused mom in a hospital. Sara’s boyfriend, Kalle, is a celebrated soccer player and likes the high life fame brings. He is not pleased when Sara starts to work and enrolls in a course in school; they decide to marry, but it doesn’t last long. Work also destroys Sara’s next relationship, with a colleague, Stefan, when she gets a senior position he was trying to land. A few years on, Sara can afford to buy the old house where she and her mother used to live and she hires a couple of carpenters to renovate the rundown building. Wanting to become a mother, but not necessarily have a man in her life, she invites different guys to her bed in order to become pregnant. At the same time, she and one of the carpenters, start eyeing one another.

December 1942. Two young soldiers leave there post’s at check-point 83 i North Värmland, Sweden and make there way through the ice cold winter-night towards Nazi-occupied Norways border. Plot/Synopsis:
Liv Ullmann plays Dr. Jenny Isakson, a psychiatrist who is taking a vacation while her husband Dr. Erik Isakson (Sven Lindberg) is elsewhere. Haunted by visions of an old woman, Jenny suffers from profound, inexplicable depression. Desperately in search of a escape from her doldrums, she has an affair with married doctor Tomas Jacobi (Erland Josephson). This only serves to spark an attack of hysteria for Jenny. Again visited by hallucinations of the old woman, she attempts suicide. While hovering between life and death, she imagines she sees all the people who’ve been influential in her life, and rails against them for causing her neuroses. Only while recovering does she learn who the spectral old woman is and why she is undergoing so harrowing an emotional experience.
Face to face is another example of Swedish director Ingmar Bergman’s masterful direction in order to penetrate into his actors’ psyche. Bergman’s sole intention in his movies is to convey the emotions, the interaction between different personalities and how they swift in the film. He uses long uninterrupted takes in such effect that many times throughout the film someone could get carried away and find itself present in the room with the protagonists. It’s like Sven Nykvist forgets the camera somewhere recording, but the action continues… Bergman’s usual partners are present obviously in Face to Face. Aformentioned cinematographer Sven Nykvist (who by the way has won two Oscars for Bergman’s “Fanny & Alexander” and “Cries and Whispers” and was nominated for “face to face”, does again superb job. But in my opinion the film is worth viewing mostly for Liv Ullmann’s extraordinary performance, mominated for an Oscar as well. There is nothing that I could add, Bergman fans will find the master here in peak form.

Plot/Synopsis:

The narrative revolves around police officer Amadeus Warnebring, tone-deaf scion of a distinguished musical family, and his attempts to track down a group of six guerilla percussionists whose anarchic public performances are terrorizing the city. The drumming set pieces correspond to an avant-garde score with four hilariously titled movements. Plot/Synopsis:
