Plot/Synopsis:

A corrupt railway chief prevents a NATO train transporting military equipment during the war in Kosovo in 1999.

Excellent masterpiece by Cristian Nemescu. A genius of the romanian cinematography, and one of the world’s best movie directors. Armana Asante is has an awesome role, like always, playing a US General, lost in the middle of nowhere…What better place for that, than Romania ! Razvan Vasilescu also makes a wonderful performance, confirming once again, his amazing talent as an experienced actor, prooving why he is one of Romania’s top actors.

Cristian Nemescu’s work of art brilliantly succeeds in capturing the pitoresque rural life of the Romania’s villages, today, a country that is supposed to be an European one, but the mentality of the country people still remains one of the communist era. Full of wit and humor the movie has many funny moments, reminding you of the environment that Borat left back when he left Kazahstan. Too bad, that such a talented director like Cristian Nemescu passed away in such a short notice, at only 27 years old, leaving only a small part of his brilliant work behind him.

Plot/Synopsis:

On his spring break at the seaside, with his wife and his four year old son, Bogdan Ciocazanu runs into his best friends from high-school at the precise date and time that reminds all of them of their most glorious drinking trips and sexual escapades of their younger days. Frustrated that, between his job and his family, time is no longer his to manage and play with, Boogie now takes his shock dosage of freedom and spends a night to tick off all the items on the map of his youth (drinking, games, flirting, prostitutes). In the morning, after the disillusionment of the remake he experiences with his former friends, he returns to his wife.

Plot/Synopsis:

It’s the 22nd of December. Sixteen years have passed since the revolution, and in a small town Christmas is about to come. Piscoci, an old retired man is preparing for another Christmas alone. Manescu, the history teacher, tries to keep up with his debts. Jderescu, the owner of a local television post, seems not to be so interested in the upcoming holidays. For him, the time to face history has come. Along with Manescu and Piscoci, he is trying to answer for himself a question which for 16 years has not had an answer: Was it or wasn’t it a revolution in their town?
