Plot/Synopsis:
Small-time crook Manne tries to avoid a group of gangsters wanting to collect an old debt and the police. He is joined by girlfriend Veera and friend Harri as they drive around the Finnish countryside in an old Volga. The story involves gun fights, car chases, shady art dealings, lots of drinking and dead-pan dialogue.

Heavily influenced by the French new wave and film noir, The Worthless was the debut full lenght fiction film for the Kaurismäki brothers.
