Plot/Synopsis:
Mia, 15, is at odds with everyone. School is hell and her mother is always on her back. Mia is only at peace when she is running – something she is good at. Plot/Synopsis:
João Francisco dos Santos was a figure of no small infamy in Brazil during the 1930s – he was a flamboyantly gay drag performer who was also a notorious criminal, thoroughly unashamed of his sexual orientation and willing to defend himself with deadly force if the situation demanded. Writer and director Karim Ainouz brings dos Santos’ story to the screen in this vibrant drama seasoned with music and dance. A tall and physically imposing man, dos Santos grew up poor on the streets of Brazil; and once he reached adulthood, he shared a home in one of Rio de Janeiro’s less picturesque neighborhoods with a handful of friends, including Laurita, a streetwalker; her baby daughter; Taboo, a nightclub performer who sometimes turned tricks for extra cash; and Renatinho, one of dos Santos’ lovers. After landing a job at a nightspot called The Blue Danube, dos Santos grew fascinated with the elaborate costumes and choreography of the stage shows, and became a singer and dancer at the club. Plot/Synopsis:
In the beginning of the 19th century, Johannes Elias Alder is born in a small village in the Austrian mountains.

While growing up he is considered strange by the other villagers and discovers his love for music, especially that of playing the organ at the local church. After experiencing an “acoustic wonder”, his eye colour changes and he can hear even the most subtle sounds. Elias falls in platonic love with Elsbeth, the sister of Peter, a neighbour’s son, who has loving feelings towards Elias ever since.

After Elsbeth marries someone else, Elias (aged 22) decides to end his life by not sleeping anymore.

Plot/Synopsis:
The narrative revolves around police officer Amadeus Warnebring, tone-deaf scion of a distinguished musical family, and his attempts to track down a group of six guerilla percussionists whose anarchic public performances are terrorizing the city. The drumming set pieces correspond to an avant-garde score with four hilariously titled movements. Where the short involved the six drummers imaginatively using standard apartment furnishings as their instruments, the feature unleashes them on an unspecified city’s civic and cultural institutions. Including an amusing backstory for each of the soberly dressed drummers as well as their nemesis, music-hating investigator Warnebring, the film creates a treat for the eyes and ears from the dull, repetitive sounds of everyday life.

Plot/Synopsis:

The ballet “Flames of Paris” – one of the biggest and most ambitious productions of the Bolshoi Theater of Russia. The famous ballet will appear in the new version, where the old dance scenes are combined with the author’s work.

The French Revolution as told through two love stories, heinous acts perpetrated by the evil Marquis Costa de Beauregard, battalions of the Marseillais troops on the march to Paris, the appearance of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette, the storming of their royal palace, The Tuilleries, and, of course, the swiftly descending knife of the guillotine. The plot has undergone several changes. Instead of one pair of chief characters, there are now two, linked to each other by the emotional ties of the love duet. The original version of this ballet was without a love line, as well as the execution of one of the main heroines, forcing her friends to quake in their shoes and giving them first-hand experience of the horrors of revolutionary terror.
