About grown-up children, and young adults, who fight the everyday battle, trying to survive and enjoy the moments. Misfits, looking for their way of success.
Titi and Detti Titi has her own problems with the grocery store where she works and with her sexual preferences. Detti her girlfriend. She is dreaming about becoming a fashion designer, prepares new designs every day. Her father is an aggressive alcoholic, she is afraid only of him.
Petike and Tesó carry bands. Petike is a gypsy, and often calls Tesó, whoo is a big baldheaded guy, a skinhead. In return Tesó calls him gippo, but strictly for fun, they are good friends. They dream about having a joint logistics venture. Petike has a serious cough.
Beus, Timi and Ferci Beus and Ferci are a couple, Timi is a friend of Beus. Their planned holiday just cannot start because of the usual broil of the couple. Timi forgets to brig her bed linen, Ferci goes up to her apartment to help.
Joci – is receptionist at a fitness center. His life is not complete, after work he usually hangs out with his breakdancer friends on the streets. One day, the skinheads beat up Kiskati, the breakdancer girl. The offenders show up, one of them is the Bald, who often goes to the gym where Joci works. Joci has the sabers used for practicing. He loses one of them.
Andris and Roland two guys in their twenties trying to make a living as DJs. Andris is a composer too, his first work is about to be published by a foreign company. Roland is envious that is why he is trying to cross Andris everytime. They are preparing for a weekend party, where both of them play. Roland wants to play some fresh stuff, but he just cannot find it anywhere. Andris is trying to help. Zoli doesnt really like to go outside, he is a bit like all of us. All he wants is to finally write out the demons from himself. Everytime he is to start, the phone starts to ring, someone knock ont he door, the tea is ready, or he has to go to the post
Lego, Erika, Galkó and Zsani the branch is going to a party, they meet the tram stop. They all fantasize about drugs and uncontrolled sex. They are uninhibited, they know no limits. They want to have the city, but it has them as well. They have to pay a huge price for their freedom.

Plot/Synopsis:
How long can you keep fooling yourself?
Tako has moved back to his hometown from Amsterdam to take over his late father’s bike shop. He is surrounded by friends, enveloped in the finest in IKEA furnishings and doted on by a loving wife, Sandra. Everything seems comfortable and ideal. But soon the cracks begin to appear in the veneer and the couple starts to weaken under the burden of its superficiality.
Sandra clearly has a self-image issue that soon spirals into a cat-and-mouse game of distrust with Tako as they do their best to avoid discussing it. Complicated by the announcement of a pregnancy and family expectations, the tensions mount, and director Sander Burger leads us into a scathing analysis of a marital lie. Fearless and occasionally squirm-inducing performances by both leads make HUNTING & SONS. a dramatic spectacle to see. It will tug at your insecurities and reveal the dread of monogamy and the middle-class life as nothing but fictions stretched over a void of uncertainty.

Plot/Synopsis:
Liliana Cavani’s Galileo is an Italian-Bulgarian co-production. The film, which lasts 108 minutes, was entirely financed by Cineriz with a small contribution from the RAI, which had planned to show it on television, but never did so. Making its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival in 1968, it aroused great interest, especially for the topicality of the subject and the ensuing debate among critics and the public. It received excellent reviews from the Italian press.
The plot follows Galileo – played by Cyril Cusack – from his years in Padua up to the trial, concluding with his abjuration of the Copernican thesis before the ecclesiastical authorities. The film, strongly opposed by some Catholic circles (on parish houses it was labelled “for adults with reserve”wink.gif, is closely linked to the historical period in which it was shot.
In a note to the newspapers of the time, Cavani explained, “I find it highly topical to speak of Galileo. In 1964, at the Council, it was said, albeit by progressives alone, ‘We may deplore certain moral attitudes deriving from having insufficiently recognized the legitimate independence of science, which have led many spirits to believe that science and faith are mutually opposed.’ The Church was mistrustful of science in the past, and is still so today, to a large extent. Science means physics, economy, sociology, anthropology and ethnology, disciplines that have advanced knowledge enormously. The Church should have progressed very far in step with them, but instead we still see sordid struggles between the so-called tutors of authority and all those Christians who ‘protest’. Because in the last analysis, today as yesterday, what they want to defend is not the spirit of the revealed Word, but the authority of the ecclesiastical institution.
As regards respect for the historical Galileo, Cavani continues: “My film attempts only to narrate the spirit of a struggle – the clash between the man of culture, who has now understood the right to freedom of investigation, and authority – an authority that calls itself religious and should as such be founded on the spirit, but that acts instead as an institution believing only in its own foundations”. And again: “When today’s world is spoken of with all the pessimism of the irritated preachers, we should react and understand that the evils of today spring from having lost the habit of thinking for ourselves, of trying to understand the words we pronounce, having refused to assume individual responsibility for social facts, and having delegated to a shadowy ‘Providence’ the abolition of all injustice (such as hunger, inequality, abuse, violence, intolerance and ignorance). This is education. Galileo was punished because he dared to question the dictates of the Church.”

Plot/Synopsis:
The movie St. Peter’s Umbrella, is an adaptation of one of the best-known works of Kálmán Mikszáth, and based on a real-life story. In the plot, a new priest is appointed in Glogova, a town in the Hungarian highlands. The priest has to take care of his two-year-old orphaned sister, Veronka. On a summer day, she is sheltered from a shower by an umbrella put above her. As people begin to gossip that the mysterious helper was Saint Peter himself, the umbrella becomes a holy relic bringing a lot of money. Yet one day the truth is revealed: the benefactor was not Saint Peter and the umbrella is indeed worth a fortune. A bitter chase begins, at the end of which something far more precious than money is found. The enchanting story is in fact a fully elaborated anecdote about finding happiness in discovering sincere love rather than in the pursuit of wealth.

It’s not exactly a South American Brokeback Mountain, because this story of Govinda and John takes its own twists and turns. Beautiful, definitely worth seeing.

Plot/Synopsis:
Girls on Top is a romantic, coming-of-age comedy. On her eighteenth birthday, Inken and her friends, Victoria and Lena, watch a film from the seventies about hippie women talking about their liberation and their enormous sexual satisfaction. From that moment on, the three girls are on a mission.
