Plot/Synopsis:
The film is dedicated to the memory of the great Danish writer Hans Christian Andersen and is based upon one of his best fairy tales. A little Mermaid fell in love with a Prince whom she once had saved during a storm. For the sake of her love she sacrificed many things: she fearlessly left her home, striking a deal with an evil sorceress. Using all kinds of magical incantations in exchange for the Mermaid’s beautiful voice, the witch had replaced the fish tail by human legs, making it possible for the Mermaid to walk and live on earth. The Little Mermaid had gone through all these trials only to be near her beloved. But the Prince, not realizing how lucky he is, loses her forever….

Plot/Synopsis:
The little mermaid rescues a prince from drowning and falls in love with him. To be with him, she makes a deal with the evil sorceress: her beautiful voice against a life on land. It seems to work at first, the prince is enchanted with her lovely appearance. But the memory of a foreign princess still haunts him: The one who found him on the beach where the mermaid had left him, and whom he (of course) believes to be his saviour. To resolve this mistake is too much for the mute little mermaid, and not even her father, king of all seas, can help her in the impending catastrophe.

Plot/Synopsis:
This story, both happy and sad, is based on the popular fairy tales by Danish writer Hans Christian Andersen. Two parallel story-lines develop in this film. At a roadside inn, the puppets play out for their master a merry, magic fairy tale about a brave soldier and a wicked princess, a witch and a kind wizard, and a fantastic city where a ridiculous and silly king lives. The puppet show has a happy end. The film’s other story-line is different, with much more sad lyricism in it. In real life, unlike the puppet show, the relationship between the young puppeteer and his beloved is not that simple.

Plot/Synopsis:
Based on a popular Dutch children’s book by Chris van Abkoude, this comedy-drama concerns Crumb (Kruimeltje), a much put-upon youngster whose poverty -stricken mother is forced to turn him over to the stern Mrs. Koster when she’s unable to support him herself. However, Mrs. Koster proves to be a cruel taskmaster who insists Crumb bring her money before she’ll feed him. Crumb’s money-making schemes sometime cause him to run afoul of the police, and he has earned the enmity of most of the grownups around him when Mrs. Koster unexpectedly dies. To Crumb’s surprise, he’s taken in by Chris (Wilkes), the owner of a grocery store who develops a soft spot for the scruffy tyke. Crumb is happy living with Chris, but his joy is short-lived when Chris’s market is destroyed in a fire; the boy once again is without a guardian, and is sent to an orphanage presided over by the mean-spirited Mr. Keyzer.

Plot/Synopsis:
The time is 20 years and a few months to the millennium, and the unrecognized, self-proclaimed genius Orm Odins has to deal with the age-old existentialist dilemma that is teenage hood. He even goes as far as to get a glimpse into the Icelandic penal system.
Like so many angry young men Orm has an opinion about everything, and nothing escapes his sarcastic outlook on life. He never for a moment thinks that some things could be better left unsaid and it doesnt matter if the subject is poverty, snobbery, poetics or alchemy. Even though many would disagree with him in his mind hes always right. Until one day he cant talk himself anymore out of trouble.

Plot/Synopsis:
