Plot/Synopsis:

Vanya is a 6 year old orphan living in a rundown orphanage in a remote Russian village. For Vanya and the other children, life is without hope, unless, of course, they are adopted by wealthy foreigners. For Vanya, hope comes in the form of an Italian couple. But while arrangements are being made an incident occurs when the mother of another child appears, seeking her son. Vanya begins to wonder what would happen if his own mother reappeared, and he was living in Italy.With the assistance of older children, Vanya is able to access his records and find the possible whereabouts of his mother. He escapes and travels across the country, pursued by the adoption agents.

Plot/Synopsis:

A jungle boy comes to Paris in this French adventure that while primarily aimed towards children, will be equally enjoyable to adult audiences.
The film opens with Steph, an international trader, winging to Venezuela to formally divorce his estranged wife Patricia who left him thirteen years ago to live in Lipo-Lipo, a remote outpost deep in the Amazon. While he is there, Stephen discovers that Patricia secretly bore him a son, Mimi-Siku. Mimi is truly a child of the jungle, but he longs to see the Eiffel Tower. He returns to Paris with his father.
Upon arrival, Stephen is dismayed to discover that his partner Richard has fumbled a major soybean deal and that both of their jobs are on the line.
While Richard and Stephen are frantically trying to sell their excess beans which includes suspicious interactions with the Russian Mafia, Mimi-Siku, dressed in his loincloth and carrying his bow and arrow, explores his new home.

Plot/Synopsis:

Nicolas leads a peaceful existence. His parents love him and he has great group of friends. Plot/Synopsis:

Hélène Berthier is about to turn 75, and her children are gathering at her home in the country for a party. Adrienne has flown in from New York City, where she lives with her boyfriend, James. Jérémie has taken a rare break from his globe-trotting business interests to stop by with his wife. And Frédéric, the only one who lives close enough to visit regularly, has also come with his spouse, Lisa.
Hélène has inherited a large and valuable collection of art from her brother, and with her health beginning to fail, she approaches Frédéric and asks that he, Jérémie, and Adrienne come up with a plan to deal with the pieces after her death. Frédéric wants to keep the collection together and see if they can persuade a gallery to purchase and present them as a set. Jérémie and Adrienne have other ideas, but as he’s pondering a business opportunity in China and she’s planning on settling in America for good, they don’t have as much influence over the final decision as Frédéric.

L’Heure d’Été (aka Summer Hours) was produced in part by the celebrated French art gallery Musée d’Orsay, and was one of a handful of films created to honor the museum in its 20th anniversary year.

Plot:

Les Miserables is perhaps the most frequently filmed novel in screen history.
This 1933 French version of the Victor Hugo classic is the most epic in proportion, though the human elements of the story are kept in sharp focus by director Raymond Bernard and star Harry Baur.
Baur plays Jean Valjean, an essentially decent man imprisoned for stealing a loaf of bread and transformed into a dehumanized outlaw.
His faith in humanity restored by the kindliness of a bishop, Valjean goes to a small village to start life anew, but is pursued throughout his life for breaking parole by relentless police officer Javert (Charles Vanel).
The various stages of Valjean’s life — from convict to businessman to elderly martyr — were bounded by the film’s original three-part structure.
Part one, Tempete sous un Crane, ran two hours; part two, Les Thenardiers, was 90 minutes; and part three, Liberte, Liberté Cherie clocked in at 95.
The American version of Les Miserables was spliced down to 165 minutes, with all three parts combined into one, then was withdrawn to avoid competition with 20th Century Pictures’ 1935 Les Miserables.

Plot Summary :

Astérix and Obélix have to win the Olympic Games in order to help their friend Alafolix marry Princess Irina (portrayed by supermodel Vanessa Hessler). Brutus (Benoît Poelvoorde) uses every trick in the book to have his own team win the game, and get rid of his father Julius Caesar (Alain Delon) in the process, but fails.The film is very loosely adapted from the original Asterix at the Olympic Games comic book. The love story subplot between Alafolix and Irina was not featured in the original story. Brutus, portrayed here as a comical villain, is the main antagonist, while he was not even depicted in the comic.
