Plot/Synopsis:

Dona, Lukrecie and Tana – three women of different origins and destinies, whose stories unfold at different times. The tale of the Romany woman Dona begins in the 1960s. The only assets this beautiful and vital woman has are her three children fathered by different men. In order to secure a livelihood for them, she moves in with an older, but disabled man, who turns out to be a pervert. Ten years later, the ambitious Lukrecie is trying to avoid employment in the village. After she becomes pregnant by a prospective suitor, she meets an attractive young man who offers her a life abroad, something she had always dreamed of. Lukrecie resolves her situation in the most appalling way. Tana, the wife of a prosperous businessman, vainly longs to have a child. Plot/Synopsis:
There were times when stealing girls in these lands has been a worthy vocation, was a habit and a sort of custom in Bulgaria. Only the strongest and most experienced men took the profession up. A young and brave Bulgarian highlander was given the job to bring, no matter how, a certain beautiful girl to be married to somebody. Such a lad was Banko, the main character in movie. The film traces the vicissitudes of Banko. He has made a bargain to ambush and abduct the pretty Elitza and deliver her to the man who wants to marry her. Plot/Synopsis:
Zlatina has grown up in an institution for abandoned children. So has Lechko, her younger follower. At a fun fair, at the age of twelve, she shows her talent for shooting. The same day a group of boys plans to rape her. Zlatina manages to avert the rape by offering herself to the boarding house supervisor. When she grows up and leaves the institution, her behavior abides by the conviction that one has to struggle daily for one’s survival as animals do; that friendship, love, and other good things happen in soap operas only. The life of Zlatina takes a different turn when a former inmate from the boarding house, Nayden, now an instructor at a shooting gallery, is so impressed by her talent for shooting that he takes her under his guardianship.
