Plot/Synopsis:
A small British girl named Diana was lost in a jungle somewhere on the continent of Africa many years ago, and now a treasure hunting expedition has begun searching for her as well as for precious artifacts. What the rich Brits couldn’t imagine, however, is that the little girl in question has grown up among the cannibalistic Mabuto tribe and is worshipped as their goddess: statuesque and always nude. The pale-faced English may expect some recognition should she and the expedition team lay eyes on each other, but Diana’s mind has developed in the presence of the Mabuto’s brutal lifestyle and she sees no kinship between herself and the visitors. Might she sense some connection before they are all sacrificed and eaten?

Plot/Synopsis:

December 1942. Two young soldiers leave there post’s at check-point 83 i North Värmland, Sweden and make there way through the ice cold winter-night towards Nazi-occupied Norways border. Sweden stands on the brink of invasion and they want to see the enemy everybody’s talking about. But the adventure ends in disaster and the day after Lieutenant Aron Stenström finds out that his brother Sven is one of the missing soldiers. With the odds against him he is forced to go behind enemy lines, on a secret rescue mission. Plot/Synopsis:
The movie takes place during World War II and depicts the true story of Jan Baalsruds amazing escape from the German army from the coast of Northern Norway and across the border to the neutral country Sweden. Jan Baalsrud is on a sabotage mission from England to Norway together with 11 other soldiers in the winter of 1943 in a fishing boat when they are attacked by a German patrolboat. Jan Baalsrud is the only one who manages to escape and sets off towards Sweden through the enormous amounts of snow and the steep mountains of Norway. The local communities where he passes through help him despite the danger of being arrested and killed. Jan Baalsrud, snowblind and having to cut off his toes because of frost-damage survives alone in the mountains for weeks. The locals are constantly trying to get him over to Sweden, but German patrols and the winter storms delay their departure.

Plot/Synopsis:

Quest for the Golden Owl – Attila Árpa a former Hungarian reality-show producer wanted to make an action movie that his country’s never had before. Árpa admittedly borrowed certain patterns from the masters of the genre: Tarantino, Ritchie and Kusturica. However, his product turned out much better than it first sounded (the makers managed to attract a lot of attention to their work when it was in progress). Most of the elements has been seen before, but Hungarian environment and sarcasm add a fresh tune to this slowly decaying type of movie. The filmmakers didn’t waste much time with the story: it’s a great challenge with time and the opponents for the fabulous treasure, an ancient barbarian golden owl named Styx Aurum. The three completely different gangs are running amok countrywide and stop only when they reach the finish line. The film is pulsing until the last minute, so you don’t have time to get bored. The great performances of the Hungarian actors(none of them well known)must be mentioned: they make their characters really believable. The only problem will be about the translation of the diction, because the language is so inventively mean, that it can be hardly translated. Time will tell, but this doesn’t change the fact that it is a well-made and very dashing film.
