Plot/Synopsis:

France, 1830… Ex-convict turned police, and now private detective, Vidocq, is on the hunt for a serial killer called the Alchemist. The Alchemist collects virgins and kills them for his own purpose. The killings spill outside to some top officials and the case becomes more entangled. When Vidocq chances upon the Alchemist, his own demise follows, leaving many confused as to what to do next. In comes Etienne Boisset, Vidocq’s official biographer, who is bent on finding Vidocq’s killer in order to finish his work and avenge Vidocq in the process. As the truth lingers closer, the killer begins to track Etienne, leaving behind a trail of bodies. With the aid of Préah, a mysterious woman; and Nimier, Vidocq’s former partner, will they be able to find out the identity of the Alchemist?
